trailers held by GA Transport (Cardiff) has been revoked, by South Wales Deputy TC Gerrard Sullivan. Director Catherine Harrison told the DTC that the company had gone into liquidation because "no one was prepared to wait for their money".
£2,585 to pay • Leigh, Lancashire-based John and Carol Heaton, and five of their drivers, were ordered to pay fines and costs totalling 12,585 after admitting 42 drivers' hours and tachograph offences before the town's magistrates.
Three cut
• Two immediate prohibitions have led to the authorisation on the licence held by Bristol-based Fritz and Murdel McLean from five vehicles to two. Western TC Ronald Ashford also directed that the licence expire at the end of March 1995, instead of at the end of March 1997.
Improvements made • The licence held by L M J S Stamps Transport, of Cookley, near Kidderminster, was renewed for the full five years after a vehicle examiner reported that since the system of maintenance recommended in the West Midlands had been introduced, overall vehicle and trailer condition had proved satisfactory.
