Don't assume that because you pay someone to be your transport manager that they're doing their job. Even if you don't hold the CPC yourself, you need to know enough to be able to check that they're doing the job properly.
The same applies with maintenance — whether you're farming it out or doing it internally, don't blindly trust that your fitters are doing everything correctly. If you're coming back with loads of prohibitions, sort it out; what are they doing? Ultimately, you're the licence holder and the buck stops with you.
