A statement of affairs estimates there is a total deficiency of almost 1.113,000 Surrey-based MTHL Fleet Services director Mark West says he doubts that it will receive the £17.000 it claims to be owed.
"The money is owed for repairs and leasing," he explains. "Our claim is in, but in reality I doubt very much that we will get anything."
West says it had a debt collection agency chasing the business and its director, Jonathan Hilborne, for the money, which was three months late.
He adds: "The question was, do we put them out of business three months earlier, or do we attempt to help them out of trouble?
"We are a small family-owned business and we do not like to see firms fail."
Hilborne was unavailable for comment.
