WE regret to record the deaths of Mr. V,' E. Goode, Mr. Harold Heath, Mr. W. J. Morison, Mr. J. D. Rose and Mr. J. G. Strickland.
Mr. Goode. of Cold Higham. Northants, who was for many years in business as a haulier and coal merchant as a partner of S. Goode and Sons, died recently at the age of 60.
Mr. Heath. who died last week at the age of 59. was chairman of Coventry Radiator and Presswork Co. Ltd. and joint managing director of the parent Group, Associated Engineering Ltd. He joined Coventry Radiator in 1950 and was appointed managing director in 1958, later becoming chairman. He relinquished his managing directorship about two years ago for health reasons. Mr. Heath was a Liveryman of the Worshipful. Company of Coachmakers and. Coach Harness Makers and had served as president of the Coventry and District Engineering Employers' Association.
Mr. Morison died recently at the age of 84. He was chief engineer of the Eastern National Omnibus Co. Ltd. from 1929 to 1949 and was directly connected with the road passenger transport industry for more than 50 years.
Mr. Rose. who died recently, was chairman of J. D. Rose and Son Ltd.. the Birmingham hauliers. He started the business with one B-licensed vehicle more than 30 scars ago.
Mr. Strickland, who was Carlisle superintendent of United Automobile Services Ltd. for 28 years until his retirement last July, has d:ed at the -age. of 65.
