• The latest product from King Trailers provides a unique solution to clearing the roads of dead 44-tonne arta.
Designed for operation under the STGO 2 rules, the 13m triaxle trailer can be extended by bm to give a clear load length of 14.4m. It is loaded via 2.5m hydraulic ramps with manually operated extensions of 1.3m. Their 6° loading angle is shallow enough to handle the latest low-riding luxury coaches, and they can be left extended to accommodate the trailer overhang of a 16.5m artic. An 18-tonne hydraulic winch is mounted on the trailer. With a 4m high artic on board, the overall height is just 4.97m.
The new trailer is now in service with Essex based Boleyn Recovery, which can be called upon to recover London Fire Brigade's 30-tonne eight-wheel aerial platforms among other specialistjobs.
