Driver Drive 21101 wont into a higher gear last December when the media took an interest in lhe campaign. We were interviewed by six radio 1,tations: Scotland's Clan FM; BBC Radio Essex; ;uffolk Group Radio; The Wave and Swansea bound Radio; Surrey's The Eagle; and Chittern IM. Additionally, 12 local newpapers across I ,ngland carried details of the campaign.
The idea was to get the gravity of the driver 1115iS across to the man in the street. The media showed a strong interest in our campaign, and this is significant. The recruitment problem facing road transport is clearly a newsworthy item beyond the pages of CM—and Driver Drive 2001 got the message across to people across the country.
