TOYOTA HAS launched its first new van since announcing a collaboration with the PSA Group on LCVs.
Due for launch in spring 2013, the ProAce is a badge-engineered version of the popular Citroën Dispatch, Peugeot Expert and Fiat Scudo vans, and will be available with the same engine and body specifications as the Fiat.
It will have shortand long-wheelbase lengths, two roof heights and a choice of three diesel engines, a 1.6-litre 89hp unit and 126hp and 161hp 2-litre engines, producing 180Nm, 320Nm and 340Nm of torque, respectively.
Standard features will include ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, stability control and daytime running lights. The ProAce will be available in panel van, window van and crew cab bodies, with maximum payloads and volumes of up to 1,200kg and 7m3.
