• The anti-spray regulations will not be extended to existing heavy goods vehicles.
Junior Transport Minister Peter Bottomley has told MPs that existing vehicles and tractive units are fitted with mudguards and it would not be cost effective to make operators alter them to meet all the technical details of the British Standard.
