GROWING SOMERSET haulage firm RT Keedwell Group has secured a new contract with block manufacturer H+H UK working from its Pollington, East Yorks plant worth around £20m over the next three years The deal will also see RT Keedwell taking over the incumbent haulier, Pollington-based BDS Haulage, trading as Inta-Site Haulage, as well as a number of vehicles and drivers from Lancashire firm ETS Supply Chain after its owner, Jim Entwisle, decided to quit the industry In total, RT Keedwell will be taking on around 55 extra vehicles.
Jon White, group commercial director at the Highbridge-based operator, says: "We have put a package together and made another investment in our network and it works for the client.
"It is particularly pleasing that we won the tender against some very big names."
The fine intends to trunk blocks into its network on curtainsidcrs. only using crane equipped vehicles for final delivery White adds: " You can't afford to have crane-equipped vehicles running all over the country these days."
