• Eight new vehicle security systems have been approved by the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre at Thatcham, Berks, bringing the total number of approved devices to 76.
They all comply with the criteria for the insurance industry vehicle security scheme and include combined alarms/immobiliser-3; electronic/electromechanical immobilisers; and mechanical immobilisers.
