Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the mid-range Ilartridge Series 700 diesel fuel injection pump test stand has been introduced. The directly coupled, thyristor controlled 5.5kW (7.5hp) drive motor and eight-line, piston-ingraduate metering features are retained but many important detail improvements have been introduced to improve access and working conditions.

A significant change is the introduction of a new lightweight injector mount, which can now be located at any of the four corners of the work table. This feature is of particular benefit when testing distributor type injection pumps. The mount can be positioned across the end of the table, a location which permits the use of the short high-pressure pipes now being specified by pump manufacturers. This arrangement also leaves both sides of the pump clear for access. The mount will accommodate eight ISO 4010 test injectors of any of the most commonly used types of automotive injectors. To facilitate rapid changes the injectors are secured by a positive, quick release clamping system.

Other new features include a table to drive centre height of 146mm (51/4in), regrouped controls at the outer end of the work table, a larger tool and component tray, and a large scale timing degree ring. This latter item is back-lit and is viewed through windows located on either side of the drive head. Its large scale simplifies the setting of pump timing and phase angles.

The multi-function digital display normally shows the pump driveshaft speed but, by using the associated key pad, can be made to display a number Of different pump test parameters including the test oil inlet temperature and test oil pre-set' temperature. Additional functions can be gained with optional features including: return oil temperature, dynamic phase angle and two variable voltage DC supplies.

The Series 700 is supplied complete with mounting brackets for in-line pumps and the latest, sliding sleeve, mounting for distributor pumps. Attachment kits are available to suit all the most commonly used automotive diesel injection pumps. Leslie Hartridge Limited Tingewick Road Buckingham MK18 lEF
