SEABOURNE Express employees have winning ways. Moira Hooper, a 23-year-old export clerk, is a black belt (second clan) and won the silver medal in her class in an English ladies' open karate competition at Clacton last year.
Now she has beaten off contenders from France and Spain to gain a bronze medal in the 1982 European ladies' karate championships at Crystal Palace and hopes for a place in the British team at the World Games in Tai Pai later this year.
Meanwhile, two drivers have been awarded the International Road Transport Union's diplomas of honour for more than 10 years' distinguished service with Seabourne and at least 20 years in their vocation. They are Alan J. Stroud, who is 39, and 58-year-old Roy Turner. Each has driven more than 625,000 miles in exemplary fashion.
