MAGNETIC planning systems manufacturer, Efficienta of Holland has developed a system of visual planning boards aimed at helping transport managers to prevent breakdowns and unexpected vehicle standstills. The boards can provide a clear indication of the nature of the preventive maintenance required as well as its frequency, it is claimed.
Information relating to the preventive maintenance of each vehicle is shown horizontally by coloured signals, on which written text can be added. A card index houses the history of each of the vehicles displayed, giving an immediate survey of work that needs to be completed during the next six months, shown on a daily basis.
