Sites: Seven UK sites, at Alconbury on the A604 near the Al(M) in Cambridgeshire; Carlisle (Cumbria) on the M6 at J44 in Cumbria; Penrith industrial Estate off the M6 at J43 in Cumbria; Birtley, Newcastle-upon-Tyne at the junction of the A194(M) and the Al; South Mimms at the junction of the M25 and the A l(M) at J23 in Hertfordshire; Rugby at J18 of the MI near the M6 and M45 in Northants; and Wolverhampton at J1 of the M54 in Staffs. There are also eight sites on the Continent.
Opening hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Parking: An average of 150 IIGV spaces. Costs £5 for overnight parking, including free shower and towel and El voucher for restaurant and shop.
Accommodation: Rooms with showers are available at Alconbury, Birtley, Carlisle and Penrith for less than £10 a night.
Food: Ranges from salads to fry-ups. An English breakfast costs £2.50; a dinner is £3.45 including pudding and coffee; and 65p gets you a "bottomless cup of tea or coffee".
Entertainment: There are bars at every site except South Mimms; a pint of beer costs £1.22-£1.32. Alconbury and Penrith also offer free live entertainment.
