• TDG Williams has won the five-year, E3m contract to distribute products for Smurfit Corrugated out of its Nelson, Burnley plant. TDG will operate six vehicles and eight trailers on the contract.
• From June, Tradeteam will provide a national distribution service out of Burton on Trent for Bass Brewers' takehome business.
• Saab has handed the management and delivery of its 80-vehicle demonstrator fleet in the UK to Walon, which already handles Saab Great Britain's distribution.
• Swift Service has a fiveyear contract to distribute Mobil Oil's packaged oil and lubricant products. Seven 38-tonne tractor units and 33 trailers will be involved.
• Parcels carrier Nightspeed Services has won distribution contracts worth in total over £250,000 with computer companies Compusys and Grey Matter.
• UCI Logistics has been awarded a distribution contract with Dundee fabric processor Haley
Steven sons.
• Tibbett & Britten has added £800,000-worth of business to its 2.3.5m contract with Sologlas. Meanwhile its car transport division, Axial, has won a three-year contract with Nissan France to manage vehicle storage and preparation at Le Havre.
• Castle Cement has given a £2.8m London distribution contract to Securicor Omega Logistics.
