A /Tay 1 refer to Ian ,VIHemshall's recent letter on the Truckers TV programme (CM 12-18 March). While not condoning Eddie Stobart's sweeping generalisation on the sartorial elegance of truck drivers, I
must take issue with Hem. shall when he criticises Stobart for being inarticulate, He also implies some deficiency in Stobart because "he is just the figurehead and his business is being run by others who are more articulate."
Who is cleverer—the figurehead or the articulate?
Richard Branson was once asked to explain how he built up his business empire, and Hemshall should carefully note the answer. "Surround yourself by people who are loyal and far cleverer than you are," was Branson's reply.
