INTRODUCING the annual report of the PTA council the chairman, Mr. W. M. Little, (chairman, Scottish Bus Group), made a scathing attack on Mrs. Castle's plans for the establishment of Transport Authorities.
He said the present bus industry was a vast structure to be knocked down and rebuilt in one move; indeed, it was scarcely possible to contemplate.
The industry was sometimes told that it was not constructive in its criticism. "It is difficult to be constructive if one is able to comment only on the arrangement of the sticks of dynamite which are to blow up the foundations of the industry", said Mr. Little.
