The driver's quick thinking, grabbing the keys and running, foiled the attempt. The driver was attacked at Felixstowe Docks at 20:00hrs on 5 May. A white van overtook him on a slip road to Number 2 gate and braked, forcing him to stop. A man jumped out and began smashing into the cab with a hammer. As the driver made his escape, his truck leapt forward, smashing into the back of the van and ending the hijack attempt. Police have issued a photofit pichffe of the hijacker (above) lie is black, around 6ft tall, heavily built and in his mid-twenties.
