• Directors of a Scottish road haulage firm and a chemicals company gave a lunch on September 17 to honour a lorry driver who saved one of their drivers when his road tanker caught fire.
At the lunch, on board the Belfast car ferry Ulster Queen, Jack Marsh, 49, of Skelmersdale, Lance, met the man he saved— Jimmy Gilds, 39, of Glasgow.
Before the lunch, which was organized by James Hemphill Ltd., of Glasgow, and Forth Chemicals Ltd., Mr. Marsh was presented with a gold watch,
