Short-term express granted
• The application by Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd., for tours from Edinburgh and Dundee to Bournemouth and from Edinburgh. Dundee and Glasgow to the loW was refused by the Scottish Traffic Commissioners last week.
The Commissioners reserved iiclgment to applications by Wallace Arnold to offer tours from Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow to Falmouth and St. Ives. Evidence was sought from the objectors to show how they would be prejudiced if the applications were granted.
• Mr. H. V. Helms of Eastham Ferry, near Liverpool, was granted a short-term licence for two express services. in Manchester last week. The services run from Eastham Ferry to Bebbington and from Eastham Rake to Bromborough. Ob)ections were entered by Crosville Motor Services Ltd. and Birkenhead Corporation Transport, The North Western Traffic Commissioners limited the period of operation to two months.
