MR K. C. TURNER becomes the longest-serving chairman of any of the industrial training boards following his reappointment as chairman of the Road Transport Industry Training Board for a further three years from September 15. He has been in that capacity since the Board was formed nine years ago.
Announcing the reconstitution of the RTITB last week, Mr Michael Foot, Secretary of State for Employment, named the 25 other members including six new appointments. These were, Mr G. ruthers, director of manpc National Bus Company; I. Collie, director of Educe Stirling; Mr L. J. Cowlard trict secretary, Transport General Workers' Union G. F. Gilbert, md, KLM M Ltd; Mr A. Morris, di organiser, TGWU; and IV Valentine, md, Valen Motors Ltd.
