North Eastern DTC Mark Hinchliffe has refused to stay his decision to revoke the licence held by Yorkshire Halal Meat Suppliers of Kikhrick pending an appeal. The DTC had revoked the licence after a representative of the firm arrived late at an inquiry and left before the case was called (CM16-22 March).
CASE ADJOURNED
Disciplinary proceedings involving Knowsley Transport International have been adjourned by North Western DTC Mark Hinchliffe to allow the firm to seek legal representation.
LICENCE LOST
Problems about maintenance and finance have led to the revocation of the licence held by Taunton-based Susan Palk, trading as Palks Packaging. Palk had been called before Western TO Christopher Heaps at a Bristol inquiry.
MAINTENANCE PROMISES
Western IC Christopher Heaps took no action against Southampton-based Jayhard after receiving undertakings in regard to maintenance at a Bristol inquiry.
WEEK OFF
Maintenance problems and several convictions have led to one of the two vehicles operated by Bathgate-based Christine Simpson, trading as Simpson Farming, being suspended bra week. Simpson appeared before Scottish OTC Richard McFarlane at an Edinburgh disciplinary inquiry.
