a mini-boom, disposing of nearly 100 units a month. "It has gone a bit quiet now, and perhaps that is just as well, because we are getting low on stock," he says. "Buyers are looking for sliding skeletals—they're fetching good money: fixed skeletals if they're on air, extendible flats, step-frames and low-loaders. Not a lot of people have second-hand low-loaders in stock, and they sell quickly.
"Our best sellers are the 4.2m curtainsiders, and the fridge market seems to be picking up," he adds. "And there's buoyant export demand for older skeletals. What buyers are definitely not looking for are 40ft tandem-axle van trailers on mechanical suspension. There's no interest in
