THREE small coach firms in Oxfordshire have had tenders accepted by Oxford County Council to run combined stage carriage and school contract services. They will receive incentive payments for the hours spent working on stage carriage (see CM June 4) and will work out the routes in consultation with parish groups.
The first service to start operating is in the Filkins area of West Oxfordshire run by Carterton coaches. The next two services to start will be operated by Worths Motor Services and Sunray Coaches and are at present awaiting approval by the Traffic Commissioners.
