HEAVY GOODS vehicles will be able to be relicensed at post offices again from October 1, following the completion of a conversion exercise.
The relicensing service was switched temporarily to local vehicle licensing offices last year, when the excise duty system was changed to the gross weight basis, but the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Centre will soon start distributing V11 reminder notices so that operators can submit renewal applications from September 17.
Operators will still need to use LVLOs and form V85 for renewals if they have a concessionary licence on the vehicle, if a change in the plated weight or wheel plan of the vehicle has not been confirmed, or if they do not have or cannot use the V11 renewal reminder.
