• Renault is now offering an in-cab fridge for its Premium Long Distance models, mounted between the seats. The option costs £629 (ex-VAT).
• Lancashire-based Hitchen Foods has fitted its latest 17-tonner with
Thermo King's Smart Reefer controller, which monitors the loadspace and provides diagnostic information for its KD-II fridge unit, along with a Cycle Sentry system which stops and starts the diesel fridge engine to minimise fuel use.
• Dates for the IAA Show in Hanover are 3-10 September, not 3-19 September as mentioned last week. CM will report on the show in the issue of 10-16 September.
• SAF will introduce a disc brake system at the IAA Show in Hanover. The Intradisc Plus is said to be light, damage-resistant and low-maintenance.
