Citroen Cars Ltd, Slough, is introducing :o the UK the van version of the Ami 8— lesignated the Service—which has a payload :...apacity of 7.-cwt. It is being marketed as 'the complete van" on which many normally accepted -extras" are standard. Based on the specification of the Ami 8 de luxe. it las hard-wearing plastics upholstery, pasienger seat, passenger sun visor, heater/ iemister and there is a choice of six colours.
Equipment includes face-level fresh air tentilation, electric screen washer, headlamp lasher, parking lights, door pockets, parcel ;helves and courtesy light.
The Service is front-wheel driven, and it las inboard mounted front disc brakes, ill independent suspension, 15in. wheels and radial ply tyres. The 602 c.c air-cooled mgine is rated at 35 bhp SAE, giving a :.ruising speed of 70 mph and fuel connimption up to 45 mpg. An alternator and il cooler are standard items.
Access to the load area is through a single op-hinged, counterbalanced rear door. k removable bulkhead divider between the l'ont seats and the load area gives over 811 oad length with the passenger seat removed. 3oth seats are adjustable.
