Darracq known as Genevieve back to England for auction after a soujourn abroad of 35 years.
The car was sold by London auctioneer Brooks for £143,000 before being shipped off to a new home in Holland. Film buffs will remember the vehicle as one of the stars of the 1955 film Genevieve in which Kenneth Moore, Kay Kendall, driver John Gregson and Dinah Sheridan engaged on a London-to-Brighton run that never seemed to end.
