E :re road early to spend the day with one of our driver trainers. We have eight full-time driving instructors and more than 100 driver assessors. The aim is to see first-hand how our "Five E Star Driving Programme is working in practice. All our drivers
receive a full day's training off the job each year and are taught how --jr: to drive defensively, improve manoeuvring and maximise fuel Es conservation. I have to get input from drivers and instructors Fo because the scheme is under continuous review to ensure we I maintain the correct standards. Use the evening to finalise my
forthcoming conference presentation on agency driver assessment. My theme is that agencies and third-party providers should work closer together.
