chris.tindallfarhi.co.uk ST HELENS, MERSEYSIDE haulier Trialout is attempting to rebuild its business after suspected arsonists targeted its yard last week.
Six fire crews were called out to tackle the major blaze, which severely damaged four trailers and more than 2,500 pallets on the company's premises. A vehicle and part of a portable office building were also damaged by radiated heat.
Local newspaper reports claimed the fire was so large, that at its height, smoke and flames could be seen for miles across the borough. Control operators took more than 40 calls about the incident, which occurred on 18th May at around lOpm.
A joint investigation by Merseyside Police and the lire and rescue service is now underway. A spokeswoman for the fire service confirms that the cause of the fire is suspected arson.
A spokesman for the company, which has a licence for six vehicles and eight trailers, declined to comment.
