• Haulier Dazzart Lenue Brown, of Fern Street, St Agnes, Bristol, adjudged bankrupt in April of last year, surrendered his licence this week at an inquiry in Bristol.
The Western LA, Mr J. R. C. Samuel-Gibbon, heard that Mr Brown had a licence authorizing three vehicles, but no longer operated them. His brother, Mr Denzil Brown, had taken them over and Mr Dazzart Brown would carry out the maintenance. In view of the bankruptcy proceedings, the LA wished to establish whether the operator had the financial resources available to carry out the necessary maintenance.
"I can revoke your licence because of your bankruptcy, or you can surrender it", said Mr Samuel-Gibbon.
Mr Brown agreed to the surrender. The LA granted an interim licence to his brother pending a full application from him.
