fleet depot at Burton-onTrent six months notice of closure last week. Work at the warehousing and delivery depot will cease on 18 September following a review of its Midlands distribution operation, says a spokesman.
The 24 vehicles are part of the company's distribution Midlands and Wales division. Work will be split between three of the remaining 22 stockholding sites at Gravelly Park in Birmingham, Bourne in Lincolnshire and Sheffield.
No vehicles are expected to be lost: "The number of drops required will not change", says a company spokesman.
Carlsberg Tetley hopes many of the 75 workers, including drivers, administration and warehousing staff, will want to transfer in anticipation of the changeover.
A review of the Wales operation was carried out last year and in January Leeds-based subsidiary Joshua Tetley asked 42 drivers to consider voluntary redundancy terms. No decisions have yet been reached.
