• Disciplinary proceedings involving Homepride Furnishing
Centre (South Wales) have been adjourned pending an investigation into the whereabouts of three of the Cardiff-based company's 0licence identity discs.
In the meantime South Wales LA John Mervyn Pugh has curtailed the authorisation on the company's licence from four to two vehicles.
Director Mahmood Hassam said the company had sold three of its vehicles and he did not know that he was duty bound to return the licence identity discs.
After Traffic Area staff checked with the DVLA, Pugh said they had established that all three vehicles were being used without 0-licences, in effect with Homepride's licence discs: one by Coates Bros, of Orpington, Kent, one by Living Style of Cardiff, and the third by Mj Bowden, of Bridgend.
He warned that Homepride might well face prosecution for aiding and abetting the unlawful use of the vehicles.
