Midlands-based Scania dealer Keltruck has completed its merger with Silurian to become the world’s largest privately owned Scania dealership
Words: Kevin Swallow KELTRUCK, THE independent Scania truck dealer based in West Bromwich, has completed its acquisition of Silurian.
Keltruck now has 21 sites stretching from Worksop and Newark in the East Midlands through Birmingham and Cheltenham to Cardiff and Cross Hands in South Wales.
Andrew Jamieson, MD of Keltruck and Silurian, says the group has been working with staff and making changes and investments, such as the new Cardiff ATF that opened in March.
“I’m sure that visitors to Cross Hands will also notice a difference to the look and feel. We have plenty more projects on the agenda too, and the reception we’ve been given has been great,” he says.
Keltruck bought the Silurian shares at the start of the year (27 January), making it the largest privately owned Scania dealership in the world.
Keltruck founder and chairman Chris Kelly (pictured) says the acquisition arose due to the retirement of Silurian’s shareholder and MD. ■
