A New York taxi driver, Mr Qurbe Tirmizi, returned $33,000 to an elderly woman who had left her life savings in the back of his cab. To compound his good deed, Mr Tirmizi refused a reward when he told the grateful woman: "All I need is your blessing." I have to say, my heart was well and truly warmed. This has almost restored my faith in humankind.
