Bus operators generally End that there is a distinct traffic lull during the months of January and February. The Northallerton Omnibus Co., Ltd., of Bedale, Yorks, well appreciates this fact and has built up a big business through being on the look-out for new ideas in transportation, with the object of encouraging the public to travel. The company recently catered for patrons over a wide area by arranging a whist drive and dance in aid of the Leeds Infirmary. When we say that the proceeds approached £200, this effort for charity can be said to have been a success. On the other hand, the bus company profited, for most of the people travelled by bus, some of them over distances of 30-40 miles, to attend the function.
