flEEST INDUSTRIES has bought a further 30 Scammell Challenger T trailers and five Scammell Handyman 4 x 2 tractive units to cope with its container field expansion.
The 33 ft. trailers will have Scammell trailing-arm suspension and will operate at 30 tons g.v.w., from Liverpool, carrying green bananas to Geest ripening centres throughout the country and fresh fruit and vegetables from Ipswich to Geest distribution centres. Each will carry four standard 8 ft. by 8 ft. containers.
