• Swedish drivers' success in this year's round of European truck driving championships was repeated at the Clausthaler Truck Grand Nationals at Castle Donington circuit earlier this month.
Slim Borgudd, the former Formula One racing driver and ex-drummer with Abba, fresh from his victory at the Paul Ricard European Truck Racing Championships in France, won the Class Two section with his Detroit Diesel-engined White Road Boss.
Another Swede, Rolf Bjork, who won the British event at Brands Hatch this year, won Class Three at Castle Donington with his bonneted Scania T142H.
One of the many British drivers in the event, Rod Chapman, won Class One with his Cummins-engined Ford Cargo.
