Cecil A. Redfern has been elected to the newly created post of president of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association. Michael Bone (md, Industrial Rentals), is chairman; Derek Martin (Kewbury) and T. Miles Manderson (Miles and Miles) are vice-chairmen.
K. C. Jessop, 44, has been appointed secretary of the National Association of Waste Disposal Contractors. Mr Jessop has recently returned to the UK from Australia where he worked in a community relations organization. •

appointed director, brake development at Rockwell International Automotive Operations. Mr Bone, 36, was previously sales manager with the company.
G. E. Heywood has been appointed general service manager for axles for the European automotive operations division of Rockwell International.
Dick Gunner, 56, becomes chairman of Sheepbridge Engineering Group's subsidiary companies on April 1. Mr Gunner is presently chief executive of the group.
