Outside France Klege Europ comprises a loose co-operative of several privately-owned sales and service operations which do not have any financial links to Delcroix, the holding company.
Klege Europ {UK) was formed in 1987 as a sales operation, offering costeffective, high-quality refrigerated bodywork. When the firm moved to its present site at Oidcot in 1995 it became a full-blown installer.
Bodies are still imported complete from France; this avoids any risk of moisture ingress, which can occur with some kit built bodywork.
The arrangement seems to work well as the small UK company is able to offer a personal approach, while benefiting from the resources of the main manufacturer. It sells 250-300 bodies a year with full ATP Class C certification tailored to suit UK requirements. "What suits Belgium or France may not necessarily be what the British operator wads," says MO Alan Lines. We can specify exactly what the customer asks for and the factory will build to that specification," After-sales parts and technical support is provided via a network of 32 agents nationwide.
