The welfare accreditation and careful treatment of the fish is a vital element in the business philosophy of Loch Fyne Oysters.
David Attwood is a director of the employee-owned company. When asked why it continues to use JSC, he says that the level of specialist knowledge built up over many years of working closely with it and the flexibility of owner and managing director Stewart Clegg and his drivers are very important. "Clegg has worked with us for 18 years and has never let us down.
"JSC delivers unbelievable service. Whether that is rerouting because the A83 main route has been blocked by landslides or that the fishing boats have been delayed. JSC gives us total flexibility in all weathers. It will change shift patterns to suit us and offer great customer service. It looks after the product properly and that is down to the care and involvement of Clegg and his drivers."
Attwood continues by confirming that JSC's close involvement with Loch Fyne Oysters has created a special relationship between customer and supplier which is of mutual benefit. He states: "JSC's support goes beyond it just knowing about what we do, the products and how to handle them. It is a relationship that works both ways."
