Britannia range of Vehicle Emaculators in July 1968 now— offer their Britannia "Up-and-Overmachine for cleaning front, roof and back of vehicles.
A manually controlled unit, it comprises two support columns, carrying a horizontal brush which can be lowered, raised or stopped, as. required. The revolving brush is first lowered in front of the vehicle and returned to a selected height. The vehicle is driven under it for the roof cleaning operation, until signalled to stop. Then the operator lowers the brush down the back of the vehicle after which it is 'driven through the automatic side-brushing unit.
Accurate positioning of varying length vehicles is provided by a controlled-light ystem enabling a driver to easily position the vehicle for correct brush contact.
This machine can be installed either as a separate unit to supplement an existing side brush machine, or, alternatively, in conjunction with a Britannia swing-arm machine to provide a complete drive through vehicle washing system. This combination is suitable for passenger transport, container and articulated box van operators.
