A note for hauliers shipping livestock to the Continent who have received complaints about the smell! Alamask 520 A-X.
It is one of a range of May and Baker odour-control compounds and, in fact, is for use in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Brian Cheyney, a haulier, of Kilmeston, near Alresford, Hants, who frequently transports sheep to the Continent, reports favourably on the new compound.
Four ounces of it are sprinkled onto the top deck of the transporter which is then scrubbed and hosed down. The solution runs through to the lower deck which is then also scrubbed. The deodorant effect of this amount of Alamask, it is claimed, lasts through three loads of sheep.
