Designed to reduce turn-round time, the Docklift Scissor lift is sunk into the ground to form a flush platform, in the lowered position. There are two removable steel posts to assist in aligning the vehicle and to prevent damage to the lift.
The platform, which measures .2.3m x 1.7m (7ft 6in x Sit 6in) and is claimed to be non-slip, has a spring-loaded flap at the loading end to bridge the gap between vehicle and lift. The manufacturer says that the Docklift will lift 1,270kg (25cwt) through 1.4m (4.5ft) in 10 seconds and will lower 2 tonnes in 14 seconds.
