A SPIRITED contest between urban and rural-orientated Metropolitan Counties on bus subsidies was approaching its climax this week following a number of formal and informal meetings of members of the Association of Metropolitan Authorities. Minister for Transport Dr John Gilbert is expected to inform AMA member authorities of his decision in the second week of December.
