Hermes scoops Store Twenty One contract
HERMES HAS WON a three-year homedelivery contract with retailer Store Twenty One for its new online venture.
The parcel carrier will collect orders placed online from Store Twenty One's Solihull, West Midlands warehouse, and transport them to its own Nuneaton DC to consolidate orders. Goods will then be delivered to customers via Hermes' regional depot network.
The 48-hour service will initially cover ladies' and children's fashion lines, but will he extended to menswear and homewarc by the end of the year.
Rishi Bubna, management executive at the retailer, which operates 200 UK stores, says: "We are committed to growing the e-commerce clement of our business, so we are working with industry-leading partners such as Hermes to ensure this is a success."
