VT 1 I CLE conversion specialist Fleetshield is the latest company to sign up to exhibit at next year's Commercial Vehicle Show.
Operations director David Waterman says the show, which runs at Birmingham NEC from 12-14 April, provides a perfect opportunity to attract new customers and see established ones.
Fleetshield, which last year displayed a medium-wheelbase Transit that it had converted, is planning on showing a smaller van this time, and says that it can undertake work on all types of CVs. Work includes refrigerated vehicles, animal transporters, welfare and wheelchair-accessible vans, and support trucks for the emergency services.
It can undertake conversions on individual vans and trucks, but much of its work is on fleets and comes via big organisations — such as housing associations — or for the finance companies that back contract hire arrangements.
Although many operators have held on to vans longer during the recession, Waterman says that most are now investing again.
