• Tynemouth Town Council has complained to the Northern General Transport Co Ltd about local bus services which have recently been revised. Councillors have complained that timetables were not being adhered to, and only about one bus in three turned up. Aid F. Mavin, chairman of the traffic and licensing committee, said there were teething troubles which would take time to sort out.
