– Hartridge scopeless analyser – and it dispenses with the need )r a difficult-to-interpret tradional oscilloscope.
All readings are presented ,mply And graphically on four irge-scale meters, which feature pass-or-fail' zone illumination. After hooking up with clip-on iductive sensors, the operator resses the test sequence butms one after another for all 8 tests, noting down any "fail" .adings on a detachable record ard. Each meter and its "pass
or-failzone is illuminated only when the relevant test selection button is pressed.
The HSA is said to be the one analyser available in. the UK which can be supplied with a self-test unit to check and guarantee the accuracy of the analyser. Scopeless analysers do not require adjustment for vehicle polarity. An automatic cut-out on the ignition circuit operates during contact breaker and cranking tests.
The use of digital and analogue integrated components mounted on plug-in printed-circuit boards is claimed to improve reliability and ease of maintenance.
