Tuesday, the Amalgamated Engineering Union decided to press for a reduction fram 44 hours. to 40 hours in.-the' working week for the same "rate Of pay. 'They are also to 'claim three weeks' holiday with pay, instead of li,vo weeks. • • Further 'efforts are to be made to secure a limit of 30 hours a month on overtime, double time for workat night and outside normal hours, and treble time on Sunday.
